The Awakened Mama shares ways to preserve your sanity and rest with children in a busy, mindfully eco world. We share ideas on how to get some sleep with wee ones and how to get some rest, both mentally and physically.
Our mission is to create a breathing space for stressed out, possibly sleepless, mindfully eco moms so they can regenerate their tired spirits.
The world is changing and quickly at that. We feel that invisible force and it is propelling us to be busy. We need to keep up, but you have to do it at your own pace and at a pace that requires no hair pulling.
There are sane ways to get through the day and it begins by letting go of a lot of unnecessary thoughts that make us feel busier than we are. It's time for some mama Zen.
There is a well known Zen Verse which reads: "Before enlightenment, I would carry water and chop wood. After I became enlightened, I carry water, and chop wood.” Mine would read: Before enlightenment, I woud carry a child and saw logs. After enlightenment, I would saw logs and the child would carry me.
